Please note that it is a requirement when entering an event that you present your Club Affiliation Card with your licence. Failure to do so will prevent you from entering. This is a directive from MNSW to Clubs who have to enforce it.

CREDIT CARDS
The Club accepts the following credit cards, MASTERCARD and VISA. You can pay your Membership Fee, Entry Fees for club events and even goods from the club's shop, just by presenting your card or fill out a mail order form and send it to the club or just phone it through.

CLUB TRIVIA
The Club would like members or any other persons to donate/loan any photos, records, banners, books, films, videos, newsletters, trophies, newspaper clippings or any other important trivia in regards to the Club, so that the Club's history can be preserved for the future. CLASSES OF COMPETITION
Club Competition - A competition, confined exclusively to the registered financial members of that club - Club Licence or One Meeting Licence are minimum requirements.
Interclub Competition - A competition conducted between clubs. The number of clubs will depend upon any special conditions laid down by the LCB prior to granting the permit - Club Licence or One Meeting Licence are the minimum requirements.
National Competition - A competition, which is open to holders of a current National Competition Licence - National Licence required.
International Competition - A competition sanctioned by the FIM, the International Controlling Body of Motorcycle Sport. It is open to riders who are holders of a current FIM International licence or National licence. FIM licences may be annual or one event and you require them when you travel overseas to compete.

EPIRB MT310 HIRE
As safety equipment, the Club has a Personal Emergency Radio Beacon that can be used by club members whenever they hold an event or ride in remote areas. It is made available to Club organised events or rides, free of charge. As this sort of equipment can be a Life Saver in other activities, the Club will hire it out (the EPIRB) to club members who may partake in non-club organised events, such as Canyoning, Bush Walking, Fishing, Cross Country Skiing or remote Trail Riding. Hire is $5.00 per day with $20.00 deposit to be left on pick-up. Phone Equipment Officer, Andy Driessen on 9948 6688.

FIRST AID
The Club would like to maintain the highest standard in safety for its members at all race meetings and in order to do so we would like to hear from anyone in the Club who holds a current First Aid Certificate and who would consider donating their time to one or more Club or Open meetings. Your help in this matter will be much appreciated.

FIRST AID KIT
The Club is in a position to purchase first aid equipment at a good price and is in a position to make a Motorcycle First Aid Kit for those members that are interested. The Kit would cost $20.00 and would consist of: Handy Nylon Carry Bag with Belt Loop 170mm x 110mm x 60mm, CPR and First Aid Pamphlet* Resuscitation Face Mask Emergency Rescue Blanket, Latex Gloves* Triangular Bandage 110cm x 110cm* Crepe Bandage 100mm x 4m, Eye Wash 30ml* Adhesive Dressing Tape 13mm Antiseptic Swabs, Wound Dressing* Adhesive Plastic Strips* Universal Pad 90mm x100mm. Note: All items, which need to be replaced, can be purchased individually.

HELMET RULE
In the interest of safety and Duty of Care the Manly Warringah Motor Cycle Club WILL BE INFORCING the wearing of a motorcycle helmet whenever a rider rides a motorcycle. This will apply whether they are on private or public property, in a car park, paddock or pit area. A fine of $10.00 will be imposed and racing will cease until the fine is paid to the Medical Services (St. John's etc.) that is in attendance at the event. Officials and Riders have a duty to carry out this rule.

INDEMNITY FORM
This document must sign before participating in an event. It protects the organiser from liability in the event that you are involved in an accident. You should read this document carefully before signing it as Motorcycling is Dangerous.

INSURANCE (CLUB)
Club Insurance Scheme is automatic when an entry fee is charged at a club organised event or where $5.00 is paid at a club organised social event. Payment and conditions associated with the Club’s Insurance Scheme (that is available to full members only) is as follows: Accident Claim Payments are $100.00 per week, for a maximum of 5 weeks for time off work. It pays only on a Doctor’s Certificate indicating date of incapacity of more than 7 days. Such payments will be made irrespective of all other income. Scheme also applies to Junior members.

LICENCES FOR 2010
Note: When applying for a competition licence, you must attach the Affiliation Certificate (the card, which is given to on payment of membership), as proof or your membership.
Senior National $275.00
This will allow a competitor to compete in any event in Australia (with the exception of international events).
Senior Club $240.00
For riders aged 16 year and over, and valid for M NSW permitted Club and 3-way Inter-club events only.
Junior National $250.00
This will allow a competitor to compete in any event in Australia (with the exception of international events).
Junior Club $225.00
For children 7-15 years inclusive valid for M NSW permitted Club and 3-way Inter-club events only.
One Event Licence $ 45.00
Will be used at "Club" and "Interclub" events only and is for valid for one day. Plus $5.00 if a Rider Practical Test is required.
Licence Declaration $ 45.00
At an event, where a rider is unable to produce their Competition Licence, they will complete and Licence Declaration and pay $30.00 which is not refundable on a record check.
Licence Duplicate $11.00
Where a rider�s Competition Licence is lost or damaged.

LICENCE DECLARATION (I) A licence declaration may only be completed by a competitor who is the holder of a current and valid licence.
(ii) If the competitor has applied for a licence, whether a new licence or renewing an expired licence, and has not physically received the licence from the office, the competitor is not permitted to complete the declaration form.
(iii) The competitor must read the Licence Declaration Form and understand the consequences of making a false declaration prior to completing the form.
The Declaration will now attract a non-refundable fee of $45.00.

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS - COMPETITION
For those who will be applying for a 2009 Competition Licence for the first time you should read the following requirements:
Theory Test
The test involves a theory test of 25 questions based on the Starting Out in Motorcycling Sport booklet put out by Motorcycling Australia. The pass rate is 23 correct out of the 25 questions. The theory test is designed to test the applicant on a variety of safety, track craft and rider responsibility.
Practical Riding Test ($5.00)
A rider must be able demonstrate the following three (3) exercises:
1. Start and Stop - Objective: Start the motorcycle, engage gear and accelerate, change gears and then do an emergency stop on a signal given by the instructor.
2. Slow Ride - Lanes marked out approximately 400mm apart and 6m long. Objective: Ride between markers as slowly as possible for 6m with out putting feet down or crossing over the markers.
3. Figure 8's - Objective: Instruct candidates to ride in decreasing figure 8's without stopping or putting feet down. On the successful completion of both tests, which are valid for two (2) years, you can either apply for a competition licence or purchase One Event License.
Note: Practical Riding Test, is not required to be done, if rider holds a current RTA licence.

MEDICATIONS (ASTHMA)
The doping policy of Motorcycling Australia and the Australian Sports Commission prohibits the use of a number of substances contained in Asthma medication. Specifically, the use of the following drugs (which as classed as beta-2-agonists) are prohibited.
Salbutamol - (as contained in Ventolin, Respax and Respolin)
Terbutaline - (as contained in Bricanyl)
Salmeterol - (as contained in Serevent).
However the administration of the above substances is permitted, by inhalation only, when prescribed for therapeutic purposed by properly qualified medical personnel and when prior notification has been provided to Motorcycling Australia.
In other words, the listed medications may be used on the proviso that they have been prescribed to you by your doctor for the treatment of an asthmatic condition, and you have provided written notification of this condition to MA.
In order to inform MA of your condition please obtain a form from the Club’s Secretary and have in endorsed by your local doctor. Approval to consume these banned substances remains valid for a period of one year. After that, you will again need to seek re-approval through MA.

PASSPORT PHOTOS
The Club owns a polaroid camera which will enable us to take passport photos (4) on the spot for your 2009 MA Competition or MA Officials licences, etc. Photos will be taken at club meetings for a very reasonable price of $7.00.

Club members can hire the Club's Quick Shade(s) for their special occasions. They are Yellow and measure 3 x 3 metres. Hire is $10.00 for 1 day, $20.00 for 3 days with $20.00 deposit to be left on pick-up. Phone Equipment Officer, Andy Driessen on 9948 6688.

RIDING GRADES
The Club will adopt the following ride grades for off road trail riding. This is the same grades used by DSMRA and found to be very helpful to riders who wish to partake in a ride. There are five grades and the expectation for each grade and the minimum type of bike required.
Adventure Ride
Mostly open and relatively easy dirt roads. Rides will generally be of a longer distance but will often include some sight-seeing along the way. (Dual sports bikes - particularly bikes such as Dominators; BMW off roader XTZ etc)
Grade 1
An easier dirt bike ride of mostly open fire trails for those with little or no dirt bike riding experience. May include a few obstacles but assistance will be provided if required. (Trail Bike)
Grade 2
Moderate trail ride for those with some trail riding experience. Possibly some tricky sections and natural obstacles. (Trail or Enduro Bike)
Grade 3
General trail ride for the competent rider with a well-maintained bike. May include single track, obstacles, river crossings, harder hills etc. Carry all your own equipment and have your bike well prepared. (Trail or Enduro Bike)
Grade 4
Difficult and/or long ride recommended for experienced riders only. Carry all you own equipment

RIDING NUMBERS RULE
At all Manly Warringah MCC events where numbers are required, the club will enforce, that numbers shall be clearly legible. The minimum dimensions being, 140mm in height and 70mm in width for each figure. They are to be displayed on each side and front of bike. Numbers can be purchased from the Club at $1.00 each or ask for a free template.

SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS (Supp. Regs.)
These are additional rules, peculiar to a specific event, which lay down the details of the competition and essentially direct the race meeting. Supp Regs commonly contain information including race dates, venues, promoters, entry fees, entry forms and prize money.

TRAILER HIRE
Club members can hire the Club's trailer (three bike, toolbox and petrol can holders) for Club or Private use. Hire is $15.00 for 1 day, $30.00 for 3 days, $50.00 for 7 days with $20.00 deposit to be left on pick-up. Phone Equipment Officer, Andy Driessen on 9948 6688.

TRAIL RIDING RULE
The Manly Warringah MCC Trail Riding Committee will NOT permit any rider to ride at an organised social trail ride, if that rider does not hold a current RTA licence and/or does not have a RTA registered motorcycle. These are legal requirements for the benefit of club officials, riders and the general public.

TRAIL RIDING FEE
The costs associated with Club's trail rides, Club members $5.00 per day ($2.50 to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and $2.50 to our Club Insurance Fund) with the option of Insurance at $5.00 per day. Non-Club members $10.00 per day ($2.50 to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, $2.50 to our Club Insurance Fund and $5.00 to General Fund) with no option of Insurance.

The Club has a Video Library with a variety of videos which members may borrow for one week, (a $5.00 deposit is required, due to members being slack in their returns). These can be picked up at the Club Monday night meetings.
